Criteria for Inclusion in the List of Sun Protective Product Manufacturers and Retailers
Sunscreen: Manufacturers and retailers included in the list are American or Canadian sunscreen companies whose branding or marketing is appropriate for children and schools. Their sunscreen products are FDA-regulated, labeled with SPF 15 or higher, and block at least 93 percent UVB radiation. Broad-spectrum sunscreens filter some UVA as well.
