Indoor Tanning
The Food and Drug Adminstration (FDA) along with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Dermotolgy (AAD) all encourage people to avoid using indoor tanning facilities. Indoor tanning facilities emit UV radiation that is similar to and sometimes stronger than the sun. People who choose to use indoor tanning facilities for tanning increase their risk for developing squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.
