Colorado Cancer Coalition

The Colorado Cancer Coalition is a unique gathering of organizations and individuals with interest in the prevention and control of cancer in Colorado. The Coalition dedicates itself to achieve increased prevention, research, early detection, and improved treatment of cancer for all Coloradoans in the coming decade. Representatives of partnering organizations meet regularly, through the Colorado Cancer Coalition (CCC) to review cancer risk factors and mortality data, share existing program efforts, develop collaborative objectives, and identify and implement prevention strategies.

Klein Buendel, Inc.

Klein Buendel is a small, multimedia research company in Golden made up of health educators, artists, programmers, researchers and teachers. Colorado Skin Cancer Task Force

The Colorado Skin Cancer Task Force is a sub-committee of the Colorado Cancer Coalition. Its goal is to reduce skin cancer rates through education and awareness efforts in communities across Colorado. Members include local business leaders, public health educators, cancer prevention researchers, dermatologists, and other medical professionals.

Colorado Department of Education

The Colorado Department of Education's Coordinated School Health Program consists of eight components: health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, health promotion, counseling, environment, and family and community. Its goal is to help invested stakeholders create favorable conditions in which families, health care workers, the media, religious organizations, community organizations that serve youth, and young people themselves might work together to maintain and improve the well-being of young people. In an effort to meet this goal and address Colorado's high skin cancer rates, Colorado's Coordinated School Health Program has funded a number of local schools and districts to create and carry out sun protection policies.
